More Work

Tonight I had to present my first lesson plan to actual students. There were four of them, three girls in their twenties and one man about 50 years old. It was a really difficult lesson. I was trying to teach them the order of adjectives, but I don't think they ever really caught on. I have another lesson to present tomorrow but that one is only for twenty minutes, so I'm not getting too worked up about it. All the trainees and I are counting the minutes until our last adult lesson is over on Saturday night. Then we have Sunday off, and then we begin our children's training on Monday.
Here are some pictures of the neighborhood around my hotel I took today while we searched for the grocery store.

Work

I haven't had much time for fun since our training began on Monday. Tomorrow I have to present my first original lesson plan so that is making me pretty nervous. I did have some Japanese-style Mexican food today though. My taco salad had something like mayonnaise coleslaw in it!
This is all I really have time for now.
Here are some pictures of a few other trainees walking around Nagoya.
The person third from the left in this first picture is the girl who will go to Handa with me, Becky.

My first whole day in Nagoya

The plane ride was really arduous and at my closest breaking point, when I thought I couldn't stand to be on that plane anymore, I realized we were only half way there! I'm really glad that plane ride is over. It was completely worth it though because so far, Nagoya is really awesome. There are 9 other Aeon trainees staying at this hotel with me. Most of them are from America but one girl is Australian and another girl is Canadian. No one else is from Texas and one girl asked me today if everyone in Texas listens to country music.
Today the whole group of us went to the neighboring district of Sakae and saw lots of people, all wearing matching outfits, dancing at this festival. Then we went to this huge department store called Loft that has 7 floors. All the food I have had so far has been really good. I forgot to bring my camera when we went out today so I didn't get to take a picture of this, but I saw this girl wearing a huge, pink, ruffled maid's outfit, walking down the street. That was totally an outfit I had never seen anyone wear before!
Tomorrow we start training which is supposed to be quite intense with the amount of information that is given to you. We train for eight hours a day, for a week and a half. After that, I will go to Handa to begin working at my real school.
Here are a few pictures of my hotel room in Nagoya.

The Night Before

This is the last night I will be in America for a long time. I feel pretty nervous but also really excited to go.
My training in Nagoya will last 10 days and after that I'll be moving from my hotel to my real school and apartment
in Handa. I'll be posting more pictures and writing while in training if I have internet in my hotel.

This is the awesome cake that Aunt Irma made for my graduation party!!
